We are pleased to offer the following new opportunities as a result of our expanding services. The openings exist on our day shift ( 8 AM - 4 PM) but we require flexibility to work all shifts as well as a willingness to work overtime when needed:

 

Mailing/Lettershop Manager


The Lettershop Manager will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of mail pieces and other personalized items. The activities carried out within the department include imaging of both mail and personalized pieces via inkjet systems, insertion of flat and folded pieces into envelopes for mailing, card affixing, hand mail sortation, hand inserting, and completing postal paperwork & reporting requirements. The lettershop produces mailings for insertion at the Post Office and drop shipments for remote insertion around the country via third party mail forwarder and freight companies. This position requires an individual to participate in the day to day production work as well as work in a professional, administrative capacity. Extensive knowledge of postal requirements to include rules, regulations and reports. Experience with current presort software capabilities is highly desirable.

 

Mail Handler / Sorter


This is an entry level position with responsibility to prepare and sort mail in a timely and accurate manner. Candidates must learn and maintain detailed knowledge of postal regulations to perform work accurately. Applicants must be able to sort First class presort & automation mail, Periodicals & Standard class mail as well as Parcel class bulk mail, perform hand work including sorting, separating, inserting, stuffing, banding, collating, labeling, sleeving, strapping etc. Additional duties will include tying bundles, loading & moving trays/skids, labeling trays, sacks, pallets and cages in accordance with USPS regulations & verifying tray/sack counts on all jobs. Candidates must also be able to operate postage scales/postage meters, conduct piece counts and complete required paperwork. Those who enjoy working independently and and have a high level of motivation to maintain production & quality standards will succeed in our environment. Candidates with the greatest potential will learn to set up and/or operate simple machinery & inserters under the guidance of an operator. All employees must be willing to transfer to other areas of production to meet changing needs of our business. Although we are willing to train the right candidate, prior experience in the core areas of responsibility is preferred.

 

Inkjet Machine Operator


This is advanced position that requires the technical skills to operate and troubleshoot all equipment as well as the ability to quickly learn new machinery. Operators will assist in the training and oversight of entry level personnel. Qualified applicants must be able to understand the setup, safe operation, troubleshooting and shut down of the Inkjet equipment and related systems. Operators must be able to understand job tickets for font, print size, data to be printed, quantities, materials and the proper assembly of packages. They will be required to set up transport bases and tabbers for proper feeding, align printed information on pieces correctly and make computer and mechanical adjustments as necessary. Operators also oversee inkjet/inserter quality, ensure barcodes meet postal specifications and that images are clean and clear and do not tap out. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a working knowledge of postal sortation, traying, sacking and palletizing mail as well as an understanding of class and category of mail. Operators will assist and instruct handlers on proper packing of the product per customer requirements and will properly document and record finished product per established procedure. It will also be expected that fully trained employees will demonstrate complete understanding of the department's Quality Control, Skid Tag/Tally sheet, and Hagen time sheet procedures. Applicants must be able to clearly communicate verbal instructions to handlers while training in proper techniques and quality control procedures. There is an expectation to report damaged materials, shortages and machine problems promptly. Those who enjoy working in a fast paced environment and have the drive to maintain machine output to meet or exceed production goals will succeed in this setting. All employees must be willing to transfer to other areas of production to meet changing needs of our business. We are looking for skilled operators with previous experience running our mailing equipment.

 

Mailing Machine Operator

Qualified applicants must be able to understand the setup, safe operation, troubleshooting and shut down of all machinery, including the Transport Bases, Inkjet Equipment, Stream Feeder, Match Mailing Equipment, Inserter, Strapper & Shrink Wrap equipment. Operators will oversee inkjet/inserter quality, ensure barcodes meet postal specifications and that images are clean & clear and do not tap out. Operators will set up jobs for proper feeding and package assembly (accumulator, folds, variable/generic pockets, sealing, metering, etc.). Candidates must be able to understand the Job Ticket and will refer to for quantities, materials and proper assembly of packages. It will be expected that Operators can demonstrate a working knowledge of postal sortation, traying, sacking and palletizing mail as well as have an understanding of class and category of mail. It will also be necessary to operate postage scales/postage meters, conduct piece counts and complete required paperwork. Machine Operators will assist and instruct handlers on proper packing of the product per the customer's requirements. Applicants will properly document and record finished product per established procedure. It will also be expected that fully trained employees will demonstrate complete understanding of the department's Quality Control, Skid Tag/Tally sheet, and Hagen time sheet procedures. Applicants must be able to clearly communicate verbal instructions to handlers while training in proper techniques and quality control procedures. Those who enjoy working in a fast paced environment and challenging the team to maintaining machine output to meet production goals will succeed in this setting. Bindery - Stitcher Operators


We need operators for our McCain saddlestitcher and a Heidelberg ST400. Our stitchers have 6 signature pockets, an in-line cover folder, a calendar hole punch, an in-line high-speed knife and 5-knife trimmer, and a 6-head capacity trimmer. Our operators are responsible for troubleshooting and minor repairs on the equipment.

 

Candidates must be able to learn the operation of new machines quickly, be willing to train apprentice candidates and have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Successful operators have exceptional quality standards, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are not afraid to ask questions. We cross-train all employees to operate all of the equipment in our bindery.
